WATER & SEWAGE

Long Beach residents should NOT drink water.  The city’s sewage system is shut down.

The Bay Park Sewage treatment plant in East Rockaway,NY is shutdown.  The Water Authority of Western Nassau County advised its customers that their water IS safe but has asked the use be limited. Customers can call (516) 327-4100.

Suffolk Water Authority’s water supplies ARE safe to drink.  The exception is on Fire Island where power was shut off Sunday.  For more information call (631)698-9500.

Suffolk Health Department advises anyone with a well that was covered by flooding should drink bottled water and have the well tested.
