And So a New Year Begins

Well, we have said goodbye to 2010 and hello to 2011. As in all years we have memorable moments from the past year mixed with excitement and the unknown about the New Year.
2010 saw us complete our 8th Extreme Makeover! Another special house, another miracle for another very special family. The Lutz family will remain in our family like all our Extreme Makeover: Home Edition heroes for the years to come.
Long Island came out and supported this build in a big way. We showed the rest of the country how truly amazing a community we are. We received close to 4,000 requests to volunteer and the support from the entire Long Island Community was inspiring.
As the economy tried to turn the corner in 2010 Alure continued to focus on maintaining our role as leader in our industry. Riding the roller coaster that the economy created we decided stability, focus on our team and continued commitment to customer service and care should not be a roller coaster ride or dependent on a robust economy. It is and will always be first and foremost in our business plan. We’re proud of our commitment and the results that we experience.
If 2010 was the year of continued commitment it was also the year of connections. As social media grew in popularity and increased its reach exponentially Alure stayed involved and leveraged these technological portals as a way to connect, engage, entertain and inform our clients, friends and new relationships. We used our presence on such social media outlets as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to build a community of followers and friends. A community that can help us grow as the leading remodeler in the region and stay in touch with what our clients and communities needs are. In addition we re-developed our website to be more user friendly and informative. A quick visit will show our website is state of the art and easy to navigate.
I’m proud to say Alure continued to stay on top in 2010 as one of the Top 500 Remodelers (actually #11) and market leaders in the country.
What will 2011 bring??? We know we must continue to keep our commitment to our client experience. Commitment to exceed expectations at every level and create and maintain Raving Fans. Raving Fans of our clients and Raving Fans of our people. We will also continue to invest in an effort to remain on the cutting edge of our industry and at the top.
I want to personally thank all of our clients and friends for their continued support and trust. I look forward to hearing from you in the upcoming year. Please stop by our showroom Martin Luther King Weekend and say hi at the 2011 Alure Design and Planning Show.
Happy New Year!
